Summary (TL;DR)

Easy Demo is a local-only browser extension. It does not collect,
transmit, store on remote servers, sell, or share any personal information,
browsing history, page content, or usage analytics. Everything it does happens
inside your browser on your device.

What Easy Demo does

Easy Demo lets you draw annotations (lines, rectangles, arrows, circles, and a
focus spotlight) on any web page and optionally save a snapshot of the visible
page as a PNG file on your computer. It is designed for live product demos,
walkthroughs, customer calls, and bug reports.

Information we do NOT collect

We do not collect, access, or process any of the following:

  • Personally identifiable information (name, email, address, phone, IP address)
  • Authentication information (passwords, tokens, cookies, session data)
  • Browsing history, URLs, page titles, or tab contents
  • Form inputs, keystrokes, clicks, or cursor movements
  • Analytics, telemetry, crash reports, or usage statistics
  • Location data
  • Financial or payment information
  • Health information
  • Personal communications
  • Any data from third parties

Easy Demo does not contain tracking pixels, advertising SDKs, third-party
analytics, or remote configuration. No network requests of any kind are made
by the extension.

Information stored locally on your device

The extension saves the following preferences only, using Chrome’s built-in
chrome.storage.local API, on your computer:

  • Selected color, color preset palette (six colors)
  • Stroke thickness
  • Fade-out duration (seconds)
  • “Keep mode” on/off

These values never leave your device. They are stored so that your preferences
persist between browser sessions. You can clear them at any time by removing
the extension from chrome://extensions or by using Chrome’s site data
controls.

Screenshots you create

When you click the snapshot button, Easy Demo uses Chrome’s
chrome.tabs.captureVisibleTab API to capture a PNG image of the currently
visible browser tab, including your annotations. The image is:

  • Generated entirely inside your browser
  • Immediately offered as a file download via a standard browser save dialog
  • Never uploaded, transmitted, or sent to Moblize.it or any third party

Where the saved file goes is entirely up to you — it goes to whichever location
your browser’s download settings point to.

Permissions and why we need them

Chrome requires us to list the permissions the extension requests. Below is
each permission and the narrow purpose it serves.

activeTabLets the extension act on the tab you are currently viewing when you click the toolbar icon or press the shortcut. Needed to inject the annotation overlay and capture the screenshot.
scriptingLets the extension toggle its overlay on the active tab.
storageLets the extension save your preferences (colors, thickness, fade, keep mode) locally on your device via chrome.storage.local.
Content scripts on <all_urls>The annotation overlay needs to render on whatever web page you choose to annotate. The extension is inert on a page until you explicitly turn it on.

We do not request: tabs (broad tab reading), webRequest, history,
cookies, bookmarks, downloads, management, clipboardRead, or any
host permissions beyond what content scripts need.

Remote code and third parties

Easy Demo ships with all of its code bundled in the extension package. It
does not load remote scripts, fetch configuration from servers, or
include any third-party SDK, library, CDN, or analytics service.

Children’s privacy

Easy Demo does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including
children under 13. The extension is a drawing tool and does not require an
account or age verification.

Changes to this policy

If we ever update this policy, we will change the “Last updated” date above and
publish the new version at the same URL. Material changes (for example, adding
any data collection) will also be noted prominently on the store listing page.

Your rights

Because Easy Demo does not collect, store, or process personal data on any
server, there is no personal data for us to delete, export, or correct on your
behalf. You retain full control by uninstalling the extension at any time,
which clears all preferences stored by the extension.
